1. Estate Sales

Ripon Estate Sale
Elm St. (street address published closer to sale date)
January 24-26. Friday 10-5 (full price), Saturday 9-3 (25% off), Sunday 10-2 (half off).
Discounts are for items under $50. We take bids on items over $50.
There is no early sign up for this sale, first come, first served.
This is a nice sale in a huge Victorian house. There are so many items in this sale that we are using every square inch to display them, including the garage, attic and basement. Most of these items are brand new, many still with tags and in their original boxes. There are enough gifts to literally open a gift store and enough shoes and clothes to open those stores too! There are well over 1,000 boxes which we have not all unpacked yet.
Furniture: wicker patio set, ratan chair, armoires, sectional sofa, antique hoosier cabinet, other antique cabinets, white bathroom cabinets, beds, bassinets, rockers, tables (some new and some old), storage bench, and more...
Antiques/Vintage: antique stoves, some vintage jewelry, hobnail and fenton, and other antique finds we are still digging through.
Clothing and accessories: Ladies: if you wear a size 9-10 shoe or wear 2X-3X clothing, this is the sale for you! Many are QVC purchases with a lot of brand new items. Some items may have a little dust but overall everything is clean.
Household items: beauty supplies including a nail gel system and many unopened name brand cosmetics, lotions, etc. towels, brand new sheet sets and linens, pillows, kitchenware, cooking ware and more...
Garage/Lawn and Garden: two push mowers, one new in box, numerous garden decor pieces, new charcoal grill in the box, yard decorations and much more. The garage contains many boxes and piles that we haven't even dug in yet!
Jewelry: a variety of new and old jewelry, some name brand, some silver.
Collectibles: If ever you wanted to start a Boyd's Bears collection, now is the time. Hundreds of peices, Cherished teddies and hundreds of dolls. Most new in boxes including American Girl, Lee Middleton, Ginny and much more.
Decorations and Decor: There are many collections here including cows, roosters, lighthouses and A LOT OF CHRISTMAS. Candles, fourth of July and other holiday decor and more.
We are still going through everything and promise you this house will be absolutely packed with items. If you need gifts at good prices, make sure to stop on by!

2. Auctions
Our first auction of the year was very successful and we are very thankful to everyone who came out and supported it. We would like to address one thing. A few people asked if we had someone in the audience artificially bidding and raising prices. Please note that we will never engage in this practice because we find it to be extremely unethical and is not at all good for growth of the business long term. EVERY single person at the auction paid for 100% of their purchases and EVERY single person took their purchases home with them. Everyone approaches auctions differently. Some are dealers, some collectors and some are there for entertainment. Everyone has different price points they are willing to pay. I know this auction was not like our first two auctions and I know that things went for higher prices and things were sold much more quickly. There were still good deals to be had. Be assured that anything that would have a reserve on will be stated ahead of time and reserves will be kept to a minimum and will be reasonable.

Join us for our monthly consignment auctions! You never know what you will find from area estates! Many times the items dn't arrive until the week of the sale so we have limited opportunity to do a lot of specific pre-advertising. The February 6 auction will include a variety of antique, vintage, collectible, household, furniture and other items. A more specific list will be included as items come in.
Future auction dates at this location: Feb 6, Mar 6, Apr 10. We will more than likely add additional auction dates as we progress. After the April auction, we will determine when and where future auctions will be held. If you have any ideas, we would love to hear them.
TERMS:Cash or charge (checks only from preapproved people) (I.D. Required to Register), All items to be paid for and removed from the hall the day of sale. All Items Sold AS-IS, all sales Final. Not responsible for accidents or items after sold. Nothing to be removed until settled for. 3. Flea Market
Feb 8-9: January Indoor Flea Market: SPOTS ARE FILLING UP FAST!

Sat 9-4, Sun 10-3
Lots of great vendors, junk sale, linen sale and more! We have over 30 vendors signed up for this venue already and the list continues to grow. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, you can call the store at 920-257-4673 to sign up. Spots are $25 for at least a 10 foot by 10 foot spot.
Future Flea market dates are Feb 8-9, Mar 8-9, Apr 12-13
Please keep in mind the store opens at 10:00am on Flea market weekends.
We are considering hosting a year long monthly indoor flea market and junk sale. However, we do have to find a spot for it. If you have any ideas, please let us know.
4. Estate Sale Store
Our estate sale store is located at 621 Westhill Blvd. in Appleton.
We are open Wed-Sat 9-6 and Sun 12-6.
We also typically accept drop offs on Monday
Our store specializes in whole estates. We are not a traditional consignment store, but we do accept some small consignments as well. The store is 7,500 feet of which we sell 1/3 to 1/2 of the items per week. New items are put out and available on Wednesday and on Sunday we have a quarter sale in which items under $10 of a specific color are only a quarter.
5. Other News and Announcements
-We are currently working on our online auction page. Soon you will be able to bid on estates right from the comfort of your own home! There will also be a kiosk at the store where you can check out the auctions and bid as well! We will have estate online auctions as well as some specialized consignment auctions. Check www.bumblepuppyauctions.com for an update soon. Right now there is nothing there!
-Bumble Puppy is hiring. Bumblepuppy is hiring a FULL TIME POSITION. Persons applying need to be available to work almost every Friday, Saturday, Monday in addition to two other rotating days. Most weeks will average 40 hours. Some weeks will be more (so the applicant needs to be able to work overtime) and others may be less. The average hours worked per week during a year will be 40. We are seeking people with a positive attitude that can lift at least 50 pounds, be on their feet all day and have availability during the weekdays and also possibly some weekends. job responsibilities would include customer service in the store, estate sale set up, store set up, etc. Strong customer service skills are a must. Knowledge of antiques and collectibles pricing a bonus, design and decorating skills also desired. The ability to list a minimum of 4 items on ebay per hour also desired. Computer skills are helpful as we move into additional online sales. If you are looking for an interesting full time job, this may be for you. Be warned that this is hard work and not all estates are created the same. This is not a job where you will be sitting. This is not a job where you will be digging for treasure. This is not a job where you will be able to stay clean on a daily basis. This is not a job for the feint of heart or for those who may run in fear of rodents. Full time employees receive holiday pay in addition to other benefits. This position will be added to the team in January or February.
-Watch our website soon for information about bulk clothing and book buyers. We will have descriptions, prices and availability information about this program. These lots are good for people who need a lot of clothes (!), resellers, etc...
-Speaking of books and clothes, we are also implementing an Amazon.com program and will begin to purchase new clothing and 2003 or later books starting in May. Watch for updates on this program as well.
-As always, if you refer an estate to us and we end up doing an onsite sale at the house, you will receive a $100 referral bonus! We just need to know who referred the customer to us! Please note that the person who is doing the state needs to mention you specifically so we know to get you your referral bonus.
-Cleanouts! Interested in getting a lot of merchandise for a bulk price? We are looking for people to give us a quote on cleaning out estate sale leftovers from some of our estate sales. If you are interested in being on our list, please contact us!
-We will soon have an ebay and online sales drop off location. Please do NOT drop off anything yet. We will be accepting items on consignment and are working on our paperwork and contracts for this that will detail the costs and conditions. Please note that we will not accept just anything for consignment. All consigned items are subject to approval and some may be rejected.
6. We need your help!
-We are looking for guest bloggers. If you have a topic related to estate sales, antiques, junk, flea markets, etc that you would like to write, we will include it on our blog along with a link back to your blog and/or webpage or market place. -We really need clean cardboard boxes and box tops! If you have any please drop them off at the store...
-Bumblepuppy is paying for box tops and beverage flats! You can earn bumblepuppy credit for bringing in as little as 20 clean box tops. We'll give you $2 in store credit for every 20 flats you bring in. Maybe your workplace has these available or you live next to a bar. They are pretty light so its a fairly easy way to earn yourself some BumblePuppy credit if you have the time.
-We are looking for a place to offer year round indoor auctions and flea markets. Please let us know if you have any suggestions!
-We are also looking for a place in Oshkosh to store items and possibly offer additional auctions and junk sales. We are also looking for suggestions and leads in that neck of the woods!
